Summer 2014 loyalty program with Virgin America Elevate.
To stay cohesive with the rest of Tablet's site, I created a large header graphic that displayed basic information about the program. The graphic also links to Virgin America Elevate rewards program page.
The left side under the header graphic is predominantly text with external links to the Virgin America Elevate rewards program page and terms & conditions page.
The right side lists locations that are involved with the program. Each location links to the city's search page on Tablet Hotels.
Sweepstakes partnership with Anthropology.
For this partnership I created the graphics for an editorial feature that paired items of clothing/ accessories available at Anthropology with the sites and scenes from the sweepstakes location, Rincon Puerto Rico.
The design of the weekly newsletters needed a serious overhaul. I took on the task of revamping the layouts and tried to make them more user friendly, less confusing, and just overall more appealing to our subscribers.
The header graphic on the former newsletter was html. We were seeing that some email providers were distorting the text. To rectify that we made the header one big image. It tells the customer all the pertinent information about the sale and easily links them to the sale page.
The body of the former email was html text of the hotel and location. The new body has a small thumbnail of the participating hotels, the name, location, and finally the discount listed.
The former email suffered from too many elements on one page.
To rectify this, I decided to remove the small blue tag and instead make it a large header. I moved the hotel and location below the image and removed the ratings/ reviews status because it wasn't adding anything to the layout and it was displaying poorly.
The former newsletter had issues with hierarchy. The sales graphic took away from the editorial of the newsletter since they were the same size and the bright single color overlay on the sales graphic made it overpower the editorial graphic.
I decided to remake the newsletter by having the sales graphic much smaller. I made the lead story more engaging with the title separate from the graphic, an image collage of the hotels in the story, and lastly I including an intro paragraph for the customer to get a taste of the article. With the rest of the layout, I made the supporting stories a single image and created clear separations with lines and buttons.
The former newsletter's image was way too large and had a lot of text that was very hard to see and read. The single image did not give the best representative of the variety in locations and amenities in our hotels .
The remake of this newsletter addresses all the problems of the original. The graphic includes pics of 4 different hotels and amenities. The important information is now text below the graphic which makes it easier to read and understand.
This was made for an Instagram competition that Tablet was hosting. Tag your photo with #TabletMoment and win a trip to New York City.
For this partnership I created the landing page. It is mobile adaptive and uses a woobox voting system.
Interactive quiz
For this quiz I created the header graphic, quiz images, result images and built the landing page using wordpress and woobox.
Every year Tablet tries to send out a newsletter for our Hotelier partners. Much of the time the information is very dry and the layout isn't very fun or inspiring to open. This time we took a different approach by using "Tablet Tablets" as a cure for all your inventory woos.
I created an animated gif to encourage people to buy Tablet Plus.
This holiday party was circus themed. I decided to go with an "old school" carnival feel for the invite.
This holiday party was held at a bowling alley. The CEO really enjoyed the movie, "The Big Lebowski" and wanted to incorporate that somehow on the invite.
I decided to draw and digitally color the images because the image quality was lacking on google.
The first invite is Lebowski dressed in a custom Tablet Hotels bowling shirt.
The second invite is Jesus holding a Tablet Hotels branded ball. We thought this one worked better because of the Jesus/ Christmas connection.
Winter/ Spring 2011 Internship
Used the pictures to showcase the fun and festivities of the party. The setting was the Smyth Hotels bar which is very Old Hollywood glam. Wanted to convey that atmosphere by using black and white rather than color photos.
This was a fashion editorial. The photos were very film noir. I decided to enhance that noir theme by doing an homage to "Sin City.” I colored the models hair, skin, and makeup in flat bright colors and left the rest of the image b&w.
Moves was a sponsor at Summerstage. I created this ad with images from the previous years festival and laid them on top of a band in silhouette.
Freelance prop maker for Funnyordie.com skit.
Mad Magazine Internship June 2008-September 2008
This was a monthly feature where we'd take old covers and manipulate them as a game to find differences.
This was a feature in MAD Kids. I made manipulated products that look like school supplies.
